My desktop (running XP home) is running really slow. The egg-timer on the mouse pointer is permanantly on. It's the same irrespective of which user is logged on.
Looking in task manager, the CPU is running at 100% all the time, but the processes tab does not show any process running at more than 20% max.
I've scanned for malware/ viruses (using PREVX CSI) but it's not found anything.
Any ideas what I could try next please ?
