Running without a FPC

Just wondering if you could run your 1200 permanently bypassing the fuel pump controller? You see the videos on youtube showing how to make and wire a bypass cable, so why can't you do that permanently running off the accessory/satnav wire underneath the tank, then you remove the offending article forever, or am I missing something?

Been covered to death a few times. Have a search and you'll find the relevant threads.
Opinions are mixed but feeling is that running fuel pump continuously could cause excess wear and tear and use more power.
Also, can't run it off the sat/nav lead as that line is curent limited and will trip if you try and pull the kind of cuurent you need for the fuel pump.
Like I say, do a search - loads of info to be found.
