Rust patches

Having just turned into a fellow tosser, i am yet again searching for a answer. On my `08 gsa i have noticed small rust patches appearing on the crash bars and the spot light carry bay. has anyone encountered this, what would be the best advise do you think. I was thinking perhaps remove the bars, get them shot blasted and either power coated or something. Am ideas.

I think BMW did a 'recall' of the crash bars about 18 months ago..........well my 06 GSA went in for a service about 18 months and had its crash bars replaced even though I'd not asked for them to be, and there was no sign of rust.

.....definately get your dealer to sort it out I'd say!

Thankyou for advise, i have spoken to paul at bahnstormers and he said bring it straight in and could see any problem with it being sorted under warrenty. he said that bmw had recalled some of the early ones because of metal fillings under the paint work. Yet again awesome service from the guy`s at bahnstomers. Thankyou guys.
