Hey all,

The ususual suspects I hear about are clean, but after only 2.5 months & 5.5k miles the screws and washers that hold the seat adjustment bars are completely covered in rust. If the bike was several years old, I wouldn't even mention it, but this seemss ridiculous.....I guess I should have greased the, but frankl'y didn't even consiser it as they were not directly exposed and I assumed they were Zn plated steel.

Has anyone else seen this so early?

I'll get BM's take on it at the 6k service comming up.

Me too, 1200ADV, 7 weeks old, 2000 miles
I noticed this yesterday and ACF50'd them.

Must be a production problem. My '05 GS has rusty bolts in this position too and the area concerned never gets wet. Bike has been garaged from new and all other bits are still in excellent condition. Can't say the same about me, though.
