Hi, I only found out about the UKGSer forum yesterday and have owned a GS for a month or two, so this is my first post (no introductory prize then?).
I just wanted to comment on the top class service I received from Rydale in Cardiff, where I purchased my pre-owned bike. Before I was allowed out on a test ride, they insisted on replacing the warped discs up front, together with the pads and gave the bike a BM standard check over. Full marks. Roger also spotted that the cylinder head gaskets needed replacing and the parts have been ordered. I'm just waiting to have them fitted. All free, all part of the service.
The staff were helpful, informative and handy with cups of tea, which is good as I am a walking tea pot and have a lower MPG than most bikes.
I have also had good experience with the ordering and supply of parts. Within days of picking up the bike I decided to add an Adventure screen. I ordered the screen and fittings on the Friday and it had arrived by the next day. Jon rang me up and told me to come in. Dennis then told me how to fit the screen. Again, I cannot fault the service I have received.
Since then, my wife has purchased a new Integral lid (am so envious) and she received helpful advice as to what size and fitting she required from Peter.
We are very satisfied with the high standard of service received from Peter and his team at Rydale and happily endorse them to anyone who cares to listen! They are head and shoulders over the other dealers I have come into contact with in the Cardiff area over the last few years because they care about what they do.
Feeling very emotional now, so going for a lie down...
