Hii, anyone out there with any experience of Rydales for sales, servicing, etc.?

Like Ming, I have also always found them first rate.

They have a really good team down there these days and nothing is too much trouble.

I've no experience with the sales side as I bought the bike elsewhere (Bath Rd in Bristol).

However, this does not appear to have had any negative effect on the service received.

I was impressed when they did some repairs recently. I asked for a quote. The job took less time than the mechanic expected. They were honest enough to lower the bill accordingly.

The standard of work has been excellent. My bike always runs better after the service. The repairs mentioned above were for a couple of weeping drivetrain seals, noticed during the last service. I hadn't noticed them and I'm sure a lesser mechanic would have been the same. Hopefully, this preventive maintenance means a more serious failure has been avoided.

Since they have had an apprentice I've noticed that the bike always comes back washed. Gives him something to do inbetween fetching coffee & doughnuts from the canteen I suppose.

Had my Dakar serviced there a few months ago & no problems. I did ring around 3 or 4 dealers for quotes but they were all pretty much the same. The 2 chaps I met there (1 was Craig. The taller one I can't remember his name) were very helpful, as was the mechanic. They did some repair work under warranty without a quibble, so A+ from me. ;)

Do a search on 'Rydales' ... all pretty positive. They did have an issue with staffing in the workshop last year but that seems to have been addressed.

I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful ... Roger in the workshop is a top notch techhie ... can't see a reason to go anywhere else at the moment.
