Just to see if anyone would be interested in a S/E Kent meet . I know a few places near me that could be used as a venue but would be open to any suggestions . Let me know if there is any interest & maybe we can get somthing started.
Cheers Kev

Yeah I'm well up for a meet and a cup o' tea somewhere.
I'm sure Cardigan will be along soon, he's been suggesting a meet for a little while now.

I would be very interested. It would be nice to meet up on Sundays and have a get together, and from there take a ride to the Ace Cafe for lunch. I'm in! If it works we could find ourselves a name, so if you have any suggestions for a name let me know.

Also used to use the Conningbrook on the A28 in Ashford on the road to Canterbury about 1 mile of M20 Jct 10 for Triumph RIII meets . It would be good to find a central meeting place for those who are interested. I know the Prince in Hythe & often go there on a Wednesday as some other biker friends of mine meet there. I was thinking of a monthly meet to start some time in the New year but if some one feels like meeting up before then why not . Must say i get bored of going up the Ace its good once you get there but what a boring ride. Any more suggestions for venues welcome lets try to atract as many people as posibile . I know a few other GSers in Asford & there is more coming soon. Every one who has had a go on mine so far now owns one or is after getting one .
Cheers Kev

If you find somewhere "mid-kent" then those of us in North Kent/SE London could join you.

Doesn't Eynsford cater for that area?

Mid Kent would be Maidstone/Medway?

I think the SE Kent idea is to save the locals from a 90 mile round trip after work to Eynsford? One of the reasons I have only been once.

H's it not that bad but the loonies that are there in peak of summer do tend to attract the coppers and their video camera and ANPR kit. And the queues for a coffee get a bit on the long side.

PoW has a history of being a biker pub on a Wednesday.

The Waggon & Horses in Charing does bikes and has the TOMCC there during the year.

Kev - in the new year for me is at least March!

Hi Guy's,
I'd be interested in a monthly meet in the lo-cal. In the meantime, anyone fancy a get together on Boxing day and then all ride up together to the Pied Bull in Farningham ? It's not too far north of Maidstone, so you don't get completely frozen and it's mid morning so you don't need to worry about the night before !! Plus there's loads of different bike types to wander round. What say you ? :thumb2

Keep the ideas coming. Im going up to Eynsford tonight so if anyones going we can have a chat . Going to take the car though as the trip up the M20 in -2 is not much fun. I would probaly be up for the Boxing day meet so give us a shout . Is anyone interested in starting the meets in Jan ? people could always drive if the weather to cold they do at Eynsford . I agree with Ivicta about Eynsford & N/Kent/London im sure once the summer comes if we get the S/East meet of the ground both groups might meet up to go to each others meet.
Cheers Kev

Tickled Trout at Wye?

Last time I checked (a few years mind) the landlord didn't mind large groups of bikes - used to use it as a destination for a work bike club from T.Wells. Large enough and a huge garden next to the river.

This sounds interesting, something local ?

Tiger at Stowting ?

http://www.tigerinn.co.uk/

Although the Tickled Trout has the advantage I can cycle there, drink beer and work it off on the way home.

The Conningbrook is even better 'cos I can walk that in 10 minutes ...

Seems that we are pread around Maidstone, Ashford and Canterbury areas, so maybe Charing/Challock area would be best, it would mean we all ride our 'bikes; is about a fair distance for all and is not so distant from London for For'ners to come and visit...

Oooorrrrr, there's the Sun Inn (www.suninn.co.uk) at Bredgar, just outside Sittingbourne. Nice to us lot, Motorised Two Wheelers ! And a nice blast down the old A2 for most. What you think ? P.s. If anyone's up for the Pied Bull on Boxing Day and is able to PM Sani, or even Sani, give us a call. Still can't get a reply to my emails asking for a postal membership :tears Oh God, I've just realised, that makes me a wannabe Tosser !! How sad is that !?! :bounce1

Hi old Boy I am of to Ireland so I cant meat up in Boxing Day but we can meat on 6 of Jan at the Ace so probably we can have serious tolk.
I left you a message in your answer phone.
Happy Christmas and New Year all the best:thumb

Did we get anywhere with this? Maybe pick a place and a date and see what happens.

The Tiger in Stowting is good and the food is very good. Plenty of off road parking, but I'd suggest avoiding Sunday lunchtimes as it gets packed with locals (well anyone from 30 miles radius) and their kids.

So when we gonna do it?

How about ......... up to you lot.

No idea but Stowting is here -
