S/S spoked wheels......

OK..bought a set of spoked wheels t other day and had them laced up The guy queries the quality of the s/s spokes from Motor****** and put a magnet agaist them which promptly stuck to the s/s spoke ( I just shrugged my shoulders at this quite remarkable display )...he then produced a s/s spoke from the Central Wheel Company and it was a tad darker and the magnet didn't stick to the spoke ( another wtf shrug)!!!

So, what is the difference in s/s spokes.....obviously mine have more mild steel in them so will they rust a tad?

I need an anorak reply here...just to satisfy my curiosity

Yup - in fact yours are probably stronger than fully austenitic grades
