Dropped my bike today. Caused this.

The previous owner had dropped it a few times aswell I think, so the hand gaurds and engine bars were all ready scuffed and the righthand rocker cover had a chip out the powder coating/paint( :nenau )
The only damage I think I have done is added another scrach on the rocker cover (see picture).
How much will it cost to get this fixed? Where is the best place to use?
Will there be really bad damage done if I just leave it?
Thanks in advance.

PS Sorry about the crap photos.

Damage???

What damage????

That's not damage...that's 'character' sir... :D

If it was damage, it'd be leaking black stuff ;)

oh dear you may have to replace the bike :nenau

There's a good chance they might polish out. After they've been polished out you could have them powdercoated to match your bike colour instantly transforming your bike into a one off and one that stands out in the crowd. Ask me how I know!

Did you select "Stellavision" instead of Macro and your camera?!

They all do that Sir :D

Yesterday I bent my Alpos panniers and the frames when getting the bike out of the garage :o , was very upset for 5 minutes then I remebered the pics of Snoopy's bike in Morocco and Boz's in SA with the same panniers when they had a fall, no problems :D

Do a search on the "dropped bikes" and you'll be quite happy with just those scratches ;)

Ah you've got those motech quick release jobs then, I've got the steel welded bracket the guy made up before got those in stock. Impossible to bend. Panniers are "customised" though :)

so I'm OK.

Thank f*ck for that.

Feel a bit of an arse now. :o

What you need to do know is chuck the bike on the other cylinder. Believe me once it's done you will enjoy the bike alot more...and don't wash it either. They hate that.

That's right the "quick release" ones, wasn't very happy because I was literally walking the bike out of the shed and a simple "touch" to the gates moved the (LHS) whole mount out of place. Now one of the fixing points is about one inch away of where it should be. I'll take the mount off and try to figure where it's bent :o

Git,

You didn't listen to a word I said did you? I said if the inside of your headlight had gone foggy you needed to get a cloth in there and polish it to get the lighting back to the right level...I suppose that doesn't make such a good pisstake though :dabone :D
