Saddle comfort?

Kidney belt and posture

I'm using the low seat and yup, after about 90 miles it gets pretty uncomfy. Just returned from 2Kish trip round France, sick of me moaning about discomfort my friend gave me his kidney belt to try.....300 mile day on the way home and I honestly would have been good for another 100 miles. chalk and cheese, zero discomfort. So I'm thinking the discomfort may be linked to riding posture. Anyway 14 quid for a kidney belt that'll support your core muscles and back may be worth a try.

This solution is far too cheap for a Tosser, if we must have a kidney belt at the very least it must be Touratech @ £100****** pounds or better still inflatable with sheepskin lining, diamante' studs & heated from a solar panel.

Had a similar problem with sore arse but 6 of my mates with 1200 gs's thought I was imagining it. Not something you can argue about....I mean how would they know. I'm 6' so it wasn't height. I now have the GSA seat which seems better than the GS one. I also found that using the higher setting at the front and the lower at the rear (handbook says not to) helped. Also found that the "Draggin' Jeans" sold here in Oz don't help as the kevlar inserts to protect you also act as sandpaper on the delicate parts.

comfy seat

Hi Derek, although i am slightly taller at 5ft 8 my inside leg is 29 inches, i have the sargent seats and they are absolutely brilliant, i too suffered with discomfort on the standard seats, when i bought the sargent seats it transformed the bike for me, they cost me £479 for both rider and passenger but without reservation i can say they were worth every penny of that, Regards John
