Dear all
Please check your brakes --- wheeled my bike out of the garage on Saturday to head out for a blast. I put the bike on the centre stand to check the tyre pressures, as I spun the wheel to get to the valve, tomy horror the back brake pad shot out. I stripped it and discovered that one of the pads had come of it backing plate.
To say I was annoyed would be an understatement, this 56 plate bike has been garaged since the start of winter, and has never seen a salty road. I took the pad to my local dealer who gave me another set FOC so I did managed to get out for a ride (after checking the fronts I might add !!!)
As far as I know the OEM parts are made by Brembo, you would expect better from them surely. I later started thinking about the consequences of the pad coming out on the back roads of Lincolnshire ---- bloody scary !!!!
