I've just picked up one of these tents as the specs looked good (for what i need) at a reasonable price. I was looking for a tent with the internal space of a 3 man tent but the pack size of a 2 man tent.
I had my first night out in it this weekend, and it performed well in the windy conditions (average 15mph wind speed, and frequent gust of 30-40mph).
It's easy to put up, with only 3 poles & minimal pegs needed. And the inner is spacious for sitting up in, easily, in any area. Not the usual one high spot, and you're crouched in the rest of the tent. There is plenty of room for one + stuff and to have room to sit, change, eat, etc without having to move things around. This would be a good 2 man tent for people + stuff.
Even though the vestibule is fairly small, there's enough space on each side to store things out the way or at the front for easy access (shoes / cooker / food/etc).

I'll be using this on my European trip(s) this year, and will see how i get on it with long term.

Nice one. As I get older, less flexible, fatter, I find a three person tent just about right for one person!
Same… I was looking for a new tent a month ago and I ended up with a deal from Go Outdoors. A Berghaus 2.5 man semi-geodesic that’s perfect for the bike. I like space, too 😁👍

Dunno about the tent ,,, but I like that tarp set up ✅

It's fairly decent to be fair! It seems to handle the wind pretty well - which is a bonus for not having to be too concerned about the weather.

Bloody hell how fat are you ?
Cuddly, let’s say…..

It’s as much about the flexibility. Last time I camped I crawled into my tent head first, having set up my bed with the head to the tent door. I was actually giggling after a minute’s efforts to turn around.

It was like an unscheduled yoga class.

I had a good test in this at the weekend with 3 days in Cornwall. Encountering varying weather with Sun, Rain (12+ hours) & Wind (30mph gusting). The tent held up well, although seemed to have a pin-hole leak (although i may have been condensation too).
So i got some Fabsil seam sealer, and have gone over all the main seams today to beef them up with an extra layer.

Whilst sheltering from the Rain, i was glad to have the extra tent room (width & head height) and a small vestibule to cook up breakfast & a cup of Tea.

A year or so on, and a few more trips done with the tent.

I'd still support it in being a good buy , and a decent tent. It's held up in some crappy weather well, and the room inside means it's not claustrophobic to be in for many hours. I seemed to have fix my potential rain leak, as it has been dry throughout other uses in the wet weather.

I do enjoy that i can pack it away as 1, when the weather is wet, and it's easy enough to fit in the bag without a fight. It's certainly helped speed up the packing process on some wet days.
