Seeing as i have the XChallenge back together, i think it's about time i got out for some more riding.

Meeting point is TBC, but will probably be Andover, aiming to get away for 10.00am.

This will be a pogo ride due to some of the tracks i'm planning on using.

Please make sure you have a road legal bike and all relevant paperwork in case the police decide to carry out spot checks.

if there is enough interest i don't mind sorting something for the big bikes on another date?

Maximum group size of 14.

If there is a good turn out we will use the "drop off" system, to ensure we keep moving.

Who's in?

Hi

Any thoughts on skill level required. I am a complete novice.

John,

What sort of bike are you riding?

A lot will depend on weather conditions- it the 'plain stays dry there isn't much you shouldn't be able to ride at all.

if it's wet then it can be a totally different place, and very challenging.

Bakerman, I'd be up for riding the plain on a bigger bike, well not too big (80g/s) sometime in the near future if anyone else is up to... perhaps when you are not working as I have no idea where to go.

Hi Nathan

I will be riding one of these - an AJP 200cc based on a honda engine with full enduro tyres - just for any doubt that is not me but my son. We have acquired full offroad kit now - a bit better than the gardening gloves.

Please count me in if dry - I understand what you mean about wet chalk. I was on the ridgeway in July and it rained - very interesting.

That looks ideal!

There were a few of these AJP's out on a ride with Pinkytiff a few months back, and they seem very capable bikes.

There should be a good mix of trails, from rutted grass lanes to sweeping gravelling tracks with "whoops" in :D, then there will be a few graded roads, as well as some rutty chalk affairs to.

So plenty to challenge.

:D

Meeting point:

Right,

meeting point for the 6th is the shell garage at 10.00am here:

There is an industrial estate nearby that may offer parking if you need it.

I've just phoned the range office, and so far there are no plans for live firing on this day :thumb

However, talking to the chap in the range office, there are plans to close the byway which runs past the tank graveyard- due to it's location in the impact zone :mad::mad::mad:

Is nothing sacred anymore :tears

[quote "and they seem very capable bikes" quote]

you mean you noticed the bikes as well as the young ladies riding them

Well i couldn't just ignore them could i? in fact, they were almost worthy of one of Doyle's threads :D
