Looking to ditch my iPhone 4s and get a Samsung Galaxy S3. But anyone got any experience of using them with an iMac? Also, how do you get the music on them if you use iTunes?
Throw itunes away and I wouldnt use Kies either although you can if you must. Install the driver plug the phone in and it shows up like a flash drive and simply copy your music over. You don't even have to do that as you can share the music folder over the network and copy it from the share to your phone as you would computer to computer. Another alternative is to upload your music to the play store. You can then access it on any device so long as you have internet and either stream the music from the internet or copy it down. The choices are practically unlimited unlike the archaic way that apple forces you to do things.
I use Double-Twist, work brilliantly and if you upgrade to the premium (4.99 I think) you get all of the album covers as well.
I also use the Samsung for a navigation back up, Google Maps Navigation is very good.

Yes Google Nav is pretty good so long as you have a data connection. If you want to get a full offline app then Sigic is really good or for free try OSMAnd. The good thing about OSMAnd is you can change the maps yourself as they are open street map. Its also really good if you leave the beaten trail as you can easily put your own route on or track yourself in various ways. Admittedly if your only ever going to use it for the normal roads then Sigic has the best routing and also looks the best but it isn't free.
Oh and glad your no longer an iSheep and welcome to the free world
