My device above, model SM-T7SS, has Android 11 and ONE UI 3.1 installed from the box. I purchased it in May 2022.

It also shows security patch level: 01 November 2021. Current version T733XXU1AUJ4/T7330JM1AUJ4.

I haven't used it for months but over last Christmas, I read many articles in the computer press and the Samsung blogs that my tablet would get the Android 14 update, along with ONE UI 6.0. I have had a look online today and it appears to confirm that these software updates have been released for this device.

The software updater is still showing that I have the latest software version. Can anyone assist me as to why I can't get the update above?

Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

Yeah that is a long time. They may have stopped supporting that model. It totally sucks how big companies can do that. I got UI 6 on my phone and it really makes no differance.

How much free storage space do you have on the tablet?

Could it be that it's not downloading any further updates because it doesn't have the space to do so?

Thanks for your answer. A year plus, though?
That seems quite a lot. My Pixel 8 Pro updated to Android 15 a few weeks ago. The Google phones are always first to get the updates, but your device shouldn't be so far behind you'd have thought.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

You are right, that isn't the correct model number. It should be SM-T733. Must be an autospelling thingy!

I have 10GB of memory spare.

It's a WI-FI only model.

Can you assist me as to how I clear my system cache partition?

Install a custom rom

LineageOs is one, or visit xda developers. Com

Thay specialise in alternate roms etc

Please note that flashing alternate rom

sets is at your own risk,

Hi, Thanks for your reply. 've got 10GB of space, so hopefully it's not that!!
That isn’t a great deal of space remaining, not when you consider that the tablet will need to download & likely process/extract the update before then installing it.

I would suggest seeing if you can update from a PC instead of doing an OTA update directly on the tablet

possibly not enough, most recommend at least 10gb.

I have done this a dozen times but I don't get the Android menu to wipe the partition. All I get is the start screen lock. I press the power button and up volume key but that's all I get. I've tried the down key as well. I just get a blank screen. Baffled.

Have you connected the cable to a computer?

Morning, apologies, I thought that cable was a charging cable. I have now connected it to my laptop instead (What is the purpose of this?) I have allowed 'file transfer' in the options menu and when I pressed the power and volume up button, I got the Android menu! I selected the 'Wipe cache partition option' and followed the instructions. Thanks again.

I can look to delete some stuff from the tablet. If there wasn't enough room, would a message appear on the screen stating this when you try and do a software update or would it just not allow it, without informing you of the reasons why?
