Sargent Rear Seat Problem?

Purchased a 59 reg GSA in November and decided a sargent seat was the best route. Ordered on wednesday evening, delivered friday, First class service from CalamanderLtd. However when checking the package containing the rear seat cover, it has NON Adventure on the tag. Not wanting to open the package and causing a return problem thought I would ask if anyone has come across the same problem. Does it fit? Cannot get in touch with Calamander as it is the weekend.

Did you order the right one? Let's assume, yes.

Open the packaging.

See if it fits. If it does, fine.

If it does not fit. Stick it back into its packaging (if possible) and return to the vendor, pointing out their mistake, asking for an exchange.

Job done.

The front and rear standard seats for the 1200 Adventure and standard GS are interchangeable, the only difference is the front seat is slightly flatter and the rear is half the depth to give an enduro style 'one piece' look. The rear Sargent seat should fit with the only difference being the added comfort and height compared to the Adventure rear.

Thanks for the advice Guy's. I went on the net to compare the two bikes and the normal GS seat looks different to mine. The thing is that on Sargent site it does not give you the opportunity to opt for the Adventure cover. I guess I will just 'open the box' as the man says and argue the case later.

Update on the seat issue.

The normal GS rear cover from Sargent will not fit the Adventure. However if you contact Calamander direct they have a replacement that does fit. The Guy's down there are really helpful and suggested that the website would be changed in the near future clarify the issue. The front seat is superb by the way. Excellent Service from Calamander.

My girlfriend has ordered me a Sargent seat as a Christmas pressie

....I've been after one ever since I got my 06 GSA...

....I hope she's got the right rear seat..or there will be tears on Christmas Day!!!
