sargent seat - seems a bit loose

I've just bought a sargent seat (the comfort of which is a massive improvement over stock) for my 2000 1150gs.

When fitted to the bike it doesn't seem to be locked into place as tightly as the oe seat. There is about an inch side to side movement at the rear of the seat when locked into place (higher setting). I intend to have a play around and examine this a bit more but thought I'd see if anyone else has a sargent seat for an 1150 and noticed this?

Is it normal?

Just checked mine, I have pannier rails fitted and stock pillion seat, mine moves about 3/4 of an inch. Hope this helps. Std 2003 1150 GS. Mine is set to the lowest setting.

Thanks gents- seems normal then. It's defiantly not about to come off, just has a bit of play in situ. I'll just continue to enjoy the comfort improvement and not worry about it.

Mine moves a bit, anybody know where I can get the cover fixed? There is a small split at the bottom which I noticed on the last trip as every time I put it on the center stand I got a wet hand. It has split on the bottom edge and the foam is getting wet somehow.
