I am about to purchase a Sargent seat for my '08 GSA but not sure about std or low option.

Has anyone had any probs with the low option - is it as comfortable as the std height?

I can just about reach the floor (both feet) using the BMW seat on low setting.

thanks

I can reach the ground with one foot flat and one not quite flat on the standard seat, not much difference on the standard Sargent seat. This on low setting for both.

Not tried the Sargent low seat though.

Got a Sargent low seat on my Adventure. Much more comfortable than standard one although it took few weeks to 'bed in' !.

Low Sargent seat is very comfortable. 1000 miles in one day .. no issues at all.

I need the low option as I just reach the floor .. still need the step ladder to get on the bike though :D

What is the difference in the ride height between the low Sargent seat and the standard one?

Just bought one today and hope it will arrive tomorrow so I will let you know. They assured me that the low seat was the same for comfort, but unfortunately there was a 4 week wait for it so I chose the normal seat instead. Normal seats with black piping and M logo are in stock.

Arrived this morning and I can feel or see no difference between the standard BMW seat and the standard Sargent seat, both height wise and in my ability to touch the ground. Feels a lot firmer on my bum but the website advertises that and says that is what makes it more comfortable. More of my bum seems to be in contact with the seat and it feels like I am sitting in it rather than on it. Will try to get a ride out tonight, maybe to squires and see what it feels like after a 100 miles or so.

Just done 200 miles on the new seat. I would like to say it has changed my life, much more comfortable, my bum doesn't feel like someone slipped Rohypnol in my beer and left me in a :ymca bar etc etc etc. Unfortunately I can't, it is definitely better than the stock seat and I get the feeling that once I get used to it all of the above will be achieved. Hope so
