Sargent Seats arrived today...

...and very nice they are too.

Having walked into work this morning, I needed to persuade one of my partners to run me home with the big box.

I fitted them on my bike and had a quick run around the block. First impressions? Are this...that they are very much more comfortable than the OE, much better angled in that I seemed to ride back naturally into the broader saddle - and I felt more secure as well. I've had to come back to work but I feel that they will be worth the money. Long periods in the saddle should be much better.

This, I suspect, mirrors what other Sargent owners feel, and would explain why there is such a good market for these seats.

A good buy Jonothan, we really like ours. As yet we haven't spent a long day on them but six hours is not a problem at all and I am usually fidgeting long before that.

On a trip to southern Spain last March I ended up in agony, unable to sit on the seat.

Southern Portugal in September saw perfect comfort. This included a 700 mile day stopping only for fuel and toilet. All thanks to my new Sargent seat and my 'special pants'.

I love my Sargent seat and I love Nippy Norman who sold it to me. But most of all I love my special pants.

I gave the new seats a good try-out today.

Even at the lowest setting (they're standard seats), they are actually a little bit taller than the BMW seats at the same height setting. That's OK, suits me well, in fact. And they really are a lot more comfortable - loads better. You don't slide around as much but you can easily move in the seats to find a comfortable position.

Worth the money? Yeah, I reckon. It'll mean long perids in the saddle won't be so daunting.

Looks like it will have to be the low option for stumpy legged little old me then Jonothan, anything much higher than standard and I'd be struggling.

250 miles on my Sargent this weekend (low seat set on high on a 12GSA) and I'm really impressed.......no numb bum, sore cheks etc.......just did'nt notice they were there!
