Has anyone fitted a Sargent seat to a GSA LC ?

I'm thinking of doing this and purchasing from NN. The website says Sargent "standard height seat is 34.2 inches in regular position and 33.4 inches in the low position.
Sargent low height seat is 33.1 inches in regular position and 32.3 inches in the low position. "

when on the OE seat in Low I'm just about there with steady feet on the ground Im 5'11, and to be honest would like it a tad lower but only a little bit ..so this is throwing me towards the Sargent Low placed in the regular position ….has anyone tried these? whats the trade off between a Std seat and a Low , is it just less padding ? surly this won't make it as comfortable …

I have a "normal" Sargent on order, delivery expected in a week or so. Being long of leg, height wasn't a concern for me, but AIUI the standard Sargent seat is a centimetre or so lower than the equivalent BMW item.

I've had a standard height Sargent on my LC since August last year. It's much firmer and a bit wider than the OE seat and I've found it a lot more supportive and comfortable . I did a Europen tour around Switzerland just after getting it and had no problems at all doing long days. I would recommend one over the standard seat

I'm just about 6 foot and usually use the high seat setting - have kept everything the same with the std sargent and no problems getting a foot on the floor.

I did about 2k round France and Spain last year with the standard seat and found it deeply uncomfortable. The Sargent can't arrive too soon.

I did 7000 miles around South America in 6 weeks with my wife as pillion. Both on Sargents. Wife, no problem. Me OK for 400 mile day and then my bum told me it needed a barstool. Did 16,000 mile on Sargent.......for me better than stock by miles.

Calamander have better knowledge and give better service than NN . I have used both dealers.

As has already been mentioned the Low Sargent is wider than the BMW seat. The makes it, for me, slightly more difficult to get my feet down than if I use the standard height BMW seat. It'd be even more difficult for someone with fat thighs.

I bought a low Sargent recently but I'm going to have it remodelled so that the nose of the seat is a similar profile to the BMW one.

I found the Sargent dug into my thigh and made it harder to reach the floor. TBH if I wanted low rider style I'd have bought a Harley.
The standard height Kahedo suits me fine. All day comfy and I can reach the floor.

True, my fat thighs are the issue for me, though it was completely rideable.

Originally ordered the factory lowered 2015 GSA as just 5'8. However having owns 2 previously, experienced no problems with footholds using a 'low' Sargent seat - so at the last moment changed my order for another standard GSA. Ordered another 'low' Sargent seat to go with it and the seat lowing cams from Cymarc. All fine and dandy until my partner took her seat. Having selected pillion and luggage the bike just kept rising (more so than I remember) and I struggled to reach the ground even on tip toe! So climbing on and off with a passenger is now a risky business.

Have some long European tours coming up, so looks like I will have to revert to the narrower and less comfortable factory OE seat when 2 up. Just a shame that the Sargent seat did not follow the same narrow design at the front. I also find that due to the shape of the Sargent my feet are slightly splayed outwards on the pegs and my right heel has started to rub against the swing arm, so have had to use a piece of 3M carbon wrap to protect the swing arm.

The penny has dropped
Being in the short arse department.
Ive got the lowered bmw seat, lowered cams(Hooters), and lowered suspension oh and the mini me boot inserts,
I got the sergeant seat and wasn't as sure footed as the standard seat .
Now i realise why , its wider at the front,, how much is it to get it tweaked to narrow the front ? and does it effect the sergeant warranty ?
