I've a 2006 1200 Adv and the seat is a bit to high for me so I borrowed a GS low seat. The low seat is bit bit too low and not that comfortable for me. Anyone got the Sargent standard seat fitted. Just wondering if its any good ?

Seats are very subjective....... you could get 10 rave reviews on teh Sargent and still hate it yourself. Have you tried a standard 12GS seat?

I tried the GS 12 low seat (borrowed it) not that keen but then I can touch the ground knees bent no luggage and could do with a bit more foam under the old rear end

I think they are imported into somewhere in Powys could phone them and take a trip over there.

Got some fitted to mine, not adv though. Overall happy with it except they seem to get very cold when stood outside for 10 hours, and I mean cold.
The sales advice is that they are right from the word go but I think they have softened a bit. Most mileage in a day has only been 150 miles so suppose I have'nt really tested it properley yet. Seem well put together and are adjustable like the bm ones.

Hi Rover

I got the Sargent seat from Nippys, took delivery yesterday, with black piping or it was a 4+ week wait. I've went on a 100 mile drive in the aftenoon into Birmingham centre then south around Warwickshire to check it out, seems pretty good to me.

Have you had a passenger on the back and if so how did they find the seat.

Sorry Trooper, not tried the pillion seat yet. If you do a search on here though I think another thread may give you the advice you require. Search button is top rightish. On a side note though I emailed sargent and asked about putting some heating into the riders seat. They wanted over 200 dollars not inc shipping

Kaye really likes the Sargent pillion. The seats contour reduces the tendency for her to slide forward under braking. Her only complaint is that I didn't get the heated version (my LT had heated seats). Even as a passenger she prefers the ride of the GS Adv over the LT.

Ah thats good to know. But after all the chrismas mince tarts Mrs T may have answered the seat height issues when she's pillion
