Given the weather was looking good today, went out with another GS at around 10am
Roads this side of the A9 were wettish, but other side more just damp and often dry.:clap
Route roughly was Montrose – back roads to Blairgowrie, crossed A9 at Dunkeld.
Then South side of Loch Tay - views were stunning and no traffic.

Looking down the Loch

Onwards to Killin around to Loch Earnhead. In dyna mode for that section.:bounce1

Decent weather for most of journey, although I got a tad cold as temp dipped to 6C for a while, could have done with another layer.

Back via Crieff, Stanley, Coupar Angus, Kirriemuir, Brechin.
About 220 miles door to door.

Good one! Was a grand day for it.....just pleased the hill got a day to dry out a bit today....was at a 'do' at lunch time chatting to a wifey who in 40 years in the glen had never known such wet...I'm having to clear the grid on our loch twice a day to try and keep the water at sensible levels...and its going to rain tomorrow....happy days..

That south Loch Tay road is great...when its clean!!

+1 for the Loch Tay south side road, on a sunny day there's a section high looking down on the loch the view is definitely 'food for the soul':thumb2

I love that quirky south Tay side road, combine it with a 'Balgie' loop & the face aches for days with all the crazy grinning :D

Better still, go up Glen Lochay and over the 'private' road to the top of Glen Lyon.....arrive at the tea shop for soup....
