Hi all,

There is a Run out of Birstall Services at noon on Sat 29 March in aid of the Air Ambulance. The short route (35mi) takes in the A46, A607, B6047 then back via Queniborough to Glenfield Hospital Secret Garden where there are organised events and stalls, all geared to raising more funds for the charity.

Suggested donation per bike for the run is £5. If you're interested and also happy to be a marshal, please arrive at 11:30 and make yourself known to me, Cogs. I'll be on my yellow R1200GS.

I have a map of the route and a GPX file but I can't upload here. If you want either or both, please email me at cogs23@gmail,com.

Ta.

Saturday's Ride out in support of Air Ambulance was a resounding success with over 200 bikes completing the 35 mile circuit and arriving at the Secret Garden at Glenfield Hospital. If anyone who tailed off before the destination, or anyone else for that matter, would like to donate to the cause, the Just Giving page is here

TVM,

Hi Cogs, enjoyed the ride, at various points there were people set up taking pics, do you know if these will be accessable online ? Also how is the guy that was involved in the accident at the start?
cheers

I'm not sure about there being an official online album but if there is, it'll probably be linked here on John Wells' FB page, he was the organiser of the Ride in support of Tina's Air Ambulance appeal.

The guy who was knocked off is apparently doing well but I don't know more, JW's page will prob be the place to find that news too.

The driver what hit him didn't stop but surrendered to police before the Run reached the hiospital. The consensus at the Garden was that the driver didn't fancy stopping and being eaten alive by 200+ bikers. He was lucky a few didn't ride after him!
