A big p*ss up on Shetland to celebrate the longest day.

From the looks of things I'll have the time but won't have the money for the ferry crossing and entrance fee. I'm about to go freelance so things are going to be tight for a while.

Shame, sounds intersting that one. I was booked on the ferry to the Shetlands last Sept but had to change plans.

Like you say though, can't do everything. Good luck with the freelance work

Why not start a new Cape Wrath discussion?
I don't think I'd be able to go in April, but how about in late June? What about the weekend of the longest day?
The hook could be the closest to the midnight sun on the UK mainland, perhaps.

I start a new job on the 31st of March so don't think I'll manage it then

That would have been just the ticket otherwise. A run up north is on my list.

I think this was your recon mission which means you won't be able to leave it until later?

Easter - By cage to Wales for a 50th birthday p*ss up
June 4th - 8th: Camping in Normandy (there's still room for more!)
June 19th - 23rd (or whenever): Cape Wrath
July 5th/6th: HUBB camp in Derbyshire
September: Trip to Normandy if anyone fancies it?
