Hey, I have Sat Nav BMW Moto Nav VI on my 1200 LC 2015 and the nav is becoming unusable, very jumpy and moving at random between one function and another. I'd welcome your suggestions as to what the heck is happening?

What happens to every nav 6 (well virtually every nav6) it’s knackered

It's called ghosting and its a common problem...had this on 3 of my Nav 6es.

Report it to Garmin, they were replacing, free of charge, with an updated version that seems to sort out this problem.

I just emailed them and they were fantastic. Replaced it without any questions.
Just don’t send anything back with it, I sent the padded case and never got it back.

Garmin have been great every time mine has failed (x5). The latest one seems to be sorted 🤞

Out of interest.
How recently have they been replacing these?

My Nav 6 was from 2018 and started playing up over the last 18 months as per the OP. I contacted Garmin on the 28/10/24 and it was returned and a new cap touch version sent back all within a week. I originally asked about a repair or a px but they said they would replace, very helpful and very efficient with the whole process.

Garmin offer the best after sales service of any tech company I have ever used. Ive had experience across their cycle computers too and always have had a more than satisfactory outcome. Probably the reason why I'm not bothered using all the new options out there.

Rang Garmin this morning, postage via UPS supplied by return email. Once received they will exchange.
Can’t fault the service.
I put a thread on just a short time ago about this very point ..excellent service !

Thanks for the info folks !

I’ve also had an excellent experience with Garmin’s customer service. When I called their UK support number, I was connected to a real person within minutes. They were incredibly helpful and made the exchange process seamless.

For reference, my Nav 6 was bought second-hand, and I’m really impressed with how Garmin are standing behind their product. All they needed was the serial number (located inside the battery compartment) and an email address to send a simple form for arranging the free UPS return.
