Guys sat nav V appears not to be charging.coming up battery low. Anyone know which contacts on backing plate actually do the charging. Bit worried if making contact with meter probes and blowing something else. Sat Nav is charging in house ok .

They are more resilient than you think, if you haven’t already start by giving both the contact spots on the back of the nav and the cradle a good wipe over and clean, sometimes the tiny spring loaded pins get stuck as well doesn’t take much to break the contact.

Have you used the bike lately, takes a good hour to charge up on the bike, when battery has been emptied.

Ride bike several times a week ,Swop it from one bike to another which it is charging ,should come on with ignition and if low charge indicator on top right should flash. Have cleaned all the contacts still nothing. Anyone know which contact poles are the power and return?

OK so that rules out the battery, well I have found this for the 660 and I believe they are quite similar, hope it helps below.

I'm not convinced about the battery TBH; are you sure it hasn't been run down to a dead flat state? After a USB charge up, does it hold well when you switch on & search for satellites correctly or simply diminish quickly & shut down? I say this as I suffered similar symptoms with my old TomTom, which were only rectified with a new battery.
