Hi guys not a long thread but just to let you all know it is possible to fit a tomtom in-board against the clocks without restriction. Enjoy the pics.

I see it sitting there but still cant see how its done. got a picture of the bracket used. i have one of these and dont like the suggested mounting on the mirror this looks ideal

Hi, I had same scenario... Fitting it on the bars was bordering on dangerous for me been so 'in the way' plus I found it very distracting moving with the bars. I will write u up a fitting guide tonight. All the parts used were from the ram mount kit u get with the tomtom kit.

Safe riding

Hello again,
Parts I used were:-

Tomtom rider 2nd Edition
Ram mounting Kit using Handle mount kits (U shape bolt and U shape wedge)

First off remove the screen for access.

I fitted the 'Ball arm' 1st with the U shape bolt through it.
Fit the U Bolt so it goes over the middle part of the clock assembly (the part that joins the clocks to the bulkhead) fit the ball arm at the back of this. (so the metal bolt is facing you sat on bike)

Put a washer on each side then fit the nuts on over about a dozen threads or so, enough really so you can fit the rubber caps over the end of the thread. The arm should still be loose and able to move about at this point.

I used a short spanner for the next bit... Now fit the hard plastic U shape wedge and put this at the back of the U bolt and start to tighten the nuts (a bit like having a monkey on a stick at this point) you want it so the wedge grips to the clock mount at the front and the 2 threaded ends with the caps on fit right into the plastic case that holds the lights in.
Just a case of tighten adjust, tighten adjust until the threaded parts are snug into the back of the light case and the wedge is gripping the arm that holds the clocks. (I didn't get it right 1st time I tried, needed a few attempts at getting it really tight without damaging anything)

Now fit the Ram part that clamps to the ball and holds the tomtom cradle and get it roughly somewhere near with the screen loosely fitted. (turns out the ram arm and clamp is spot on in reach to get it just at the side of the clocks)

When your happy with position remove screen again and get your hands in and give it a bloody good tighten all round so its rigid!

I also fitted a zip tie around the 'ball' of the arm and found a gap on the back of the clocks as to pull it further up and hold it even tighter.

Next up is the power cable, I routed mine through the front brake and clutch hoop, then tucked everything behind the clocks so there out of sight and no chance of the snagging anywhere.

Good luck, fellow navi men.... I have attached the only 2 pics I could take of the clamp in place to help explain.

Any probs give me a shout :thumb2
