I have a Garmin Zumo sat nav. I would like to mount it in my eyeline on the bar above the clocks.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a mount - preferably one that does not cost a fortune or look like a Meccano kit..

Which Zumo model?

I used the TT bracket in my last GS, the brackets fits the GSA not GS so I put a kick in both arms on a bench vice, you don't need to use the TT locking cradle but the TT cross bar is a slightly smaller diameter than the GS lower bar, I used a strip of rubber pad in the Garmin mount and it works fine. Removed that when I fitted the TT cradle. With the Garmin mounted on the GS bar I couldn't see the revs or top of the speedo.

I didn't have the bar as a basic bike, so I bought the hornig bar and zumo mount adapter,
It looks like the bmw bar but in stainless,, check it out as it comes with a billet alloy clamp mount
Which I didn't use as I found a lc one on eBay,,
Roamer

My bike (Adv) came with a billet alloy block clamped to the screen upper bar to carry a Zumo 550. But while it looks fine the sat nag covers the top of the speedo top exactly over the M-way speeds. The nag does show speed so maybe I was over fussy but in the end I found a Ram mount on the handlebar was more suitable.

When I fitted a Givi AF-330 the old screen bar became redundant but the Ram mount was still fine. Its also ideally placed to press screen buttons so I don't have to wait for "hours" while the nag boots and goes through all the annoying warnings.

The above is only when I use it as a rolling map - my usual preference. When using it for directions I do that before I set off. HTH

Hopefully you can see through the flies and custard bugs.
One straight length of steel. One L shaped bracket.
Weld the two together.
Then either take your time and paint it lovingly, maybe doing one half silver so that it blends in with the screen bracket. Or just throw some black paint at it and hope it doesn't look too shit like I did. ..

Bolt it in place. Done. Cost less than a fiver. This was fitted to my gs before I fitted the gsa screen, when I had the GS screen on.
