sat nav

I would imagine that it is just like every other sat-nav in existence; a waste of time until you get within 5 miles of your destination.. !

That'd be your arse you're talking out of unfortunately.

Perhaps if you learn to use one correctly.... etc, etc,

Sat navs are not bike specific.

You might have got a better response if you had asked your question in the GPS forum.

Yes I have briefly. The peaklife is a typical Chinese rip off copy of an older generation of GPS units. It had a poor menu, very slow to recalculate and frequently lost the sat signals, and I cant remember anything which did impress me, except for the price :D. I tried to find out how to update the maps, and at that time you couldn't do it. As it was only about £90 at the time I took it on the chin and bought a 660.
I seem to recall it was only suitable for a car, as you couldn't get a bike mount and it was not designed for motorcycle use.

I think you have this mixed up with something else, the Peaklife is just a windows CE device, it all depends on the maps you install. I have had mine 3-4 years been all over the country including trips to France, i have IGO8, TOMTOM and Memory map installed, never had an issue like you mentioned on the Peaklife only had those issues on my 660 which i sold.
I have helped out quite a few others on various forums who have bought these and have been more than happy.
If you have any questions just send me a message and i will help you out .
