I am thinking about maybe buying a Sat Nav what make do people on here recommend, and why. I do go to Europe on the bike every year so that is when it would get its main use. How much money should I be looking to spend on one.

Regards Gedjack.

Loads of information on this subject in the GPS section

Some points to consider:

Do you want Bluetooth connectivity?

Ability to play MP3 files?

Will it be used just on the bike or also in the car?

Sit in a comfy chair with a nice long drink and have a go with the search button. There is a lot of info so make a night of it.

PS. The answer is a Garmin 2610 with a 2Gb memory card :)

Yes, after spending 30 hours with the search button this is what you will end up with. Garmin 2610 with a 2Gb memory card. You can save plenty of time by surfing directly to http://www.gpsw.co.uk/details/prod3267.html :thumb

Thanks for the advice so far. Why do you recomend the Garmin 2610 ? What are the BMW systems like ? I don't need blue tooth but would like to take it in the car as well.

BMW ones are much more expensive, in return for very few extra feature over the Garmin unit they are based on.
2610 is fine for cars.
Sugest you search on Quest for an alternative including comparisions with the 2610.
