Just purchased a BMW top bar that sits over the instruments, to mount the sat nav. Has anyone else fitted one of these? It looks like the only way to get to the bolts is to remove the speedo, I'm just a bit nervous doing this if I don't have to. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just remove the screws either side of the headlight and slide the whole headlight/speedo assembly far enough forward to access the four screws.

They have been painted over, so make sure you tap the Tork bit firmly into the screw heads before attemting to undo them or you'll just round the socket off.

You need longer screws to fit the GPS crossbar, but I assume your dealer would have told you this and sold them to you (Alan Jeffries did when I bought mine) ;)

Thanks Sven. Do I have to remove the screen as well, or can this stay on?
