I have a zumo 550, had it a while, and never had a problem saving routes on my desk top.
I have a newish laptop. (windows vista), have downloaded the latest version of garmins mapping and all is well. I can send maps to my zumo.
What I can't do is save the files. Thats not quite true, I save them, but then when i go to open them the computer says ......

No update files could be found. Please re-run webupdater from the command line and specify the directory containing the update files as a command line paramteter.
This is complete double dutch to me!! The bottom line is, I can't open the saved mapping files. I have done the wizard thing with Garmin and all the updates to be had have been downloaded.
I'm sorry to say, I know feck all about computers and know nothing about Jpegs, gpx files etc etc. All another language to me!! I'm guessing that I either need some sort of software on here to open the files, or I'm not opening them (or saving them) in the right format.
