Meeting somewhere else is worth considering if it's shite weather. How aboot the Moulin Hotel? It's a fairly undramatic run up the A9 to Pirlochry but at least the roads should be fine?

Are Floyd, Coolcarbon and AndyT still on for this? Anyone else?

If it's gonnie be more than me, Foxy, boatman, Garfield and Turpin goin', I'll try and book a table. The Moulin Hotel can get a bit busy.

I'm still going but as said, I'll be on 4 wheels so would like to get down to the Glen...

Shinyface said that he felt the Glen was OK yesterday...I guess it depends on what happens wit weather 'tween now and Saturday...:nenau

Hoping to have one of the last jaunts on an 1100 on Saturday - assuming that the weather is ok. So, need to know where we are heading, and if it is changed on Sat morning, I probably need a txt off of someone to say we are definately going to a, b, or c.:beerjug:
And no, I'm not giving my txt number out to all the fun lovers and mischief makers here.:P

My own personal view is this then:

At this moment in time...

Arrange to meet at Moulin Hotel so's we know that the meet is on regardless of weather leading up to Saturday. I appreciate that severe blizzards etc can effect the A9 too but if it's that bad, Glen Lyon would definitely be unpassable.

Put a run to Boxertools Bench back a few weeks to later in the year when there are no weather issues. If Mike (CC) can let us know when he's next back up, we'll deffo arrange a meet at the bench then.

Come Friday morning, if the weather/roads are OK revert to Glen Lyon. At least this way, we know that we're having a definite meet.

I'll need to check the weather as the Glenshee Road can be a nightmare at this time of year. I recon its a 5/10 chance for me at the moment:( but its only Tuesday:augie

Noo it's Thursday. Twa days to go...

I'm just back fae Dunfermline and the A92 westwards fae Kirkcaldy was "interesting". Covered in slush and no properly cleared. Changing lanes was a bit heart in the mooth on the odd occassion and I was glad I wasnae on twa wheels. There was a fair auld fa' o' snaw ower night here. Unless, there's a guid thaw afore Saturday, I'll no' be venturin' oot on my bike.

I'm no' that fussy for postin' pics o' my bike in the snaw just tae show how hard core I um :thumb (oh, aye and I'm fed up drappin' the fecker :D)

My chances have dropped from 5/10 to 2/10 as my flight back onshore is indefinately held due to snow at Aberdeen Airport and its been snowing good and proper at home for 2 days now apparently - cue the slege:augie
