Im looking to get my 1100 a bit dirty in the local lanes, as such a more off road biased tyre will be needed.. My first thought was obviously the TKC80 but having spoke to a gent last week he informed me of a new tyre on the market made by Sava called the MC60.

I found that it is used by the BMW school in the states and seems to have favourable reviews on their site, however they are selling them so I guess they would

I have done a search on tinter net and can not really find any reviews from someone that has used them in the mixed conditions we have here in the UK, has anyone used these tyres??? if so please post up what you think compared to the TKC..

My main reason for looking at these is the cost of purchasing them loose is way cheaper than the TKC and if the blurb is to be believed then they are just as good as the Conti's, I do my own tyre changes so being able to get a set of tyres for under £140 odd quid is advantageous :thumb

Not used them but after a quick look it seems you need to swap them round on the rim depending on road/off road use. A pretty good feature for those that want to ride down to morocco etc and then play in the desert on one set of tyres. :thumb2. I wonder how quickly they square off on the road. :nenau

Having used TKC's on a previous bike I can say any improvement over them in durability will be welcomed, Im interested in what they will be like on a typical soggy B road in the UK.. All information is about people using them in warmer dryer conditions and lets face it riding a bike down a highway then turning onto a dirt track in Arizona isnt quiet the same as a January greenlane in Essex then heading out onto a cracked and leafy A414. :rob
