Hello, I have a query about using Mapsource. I've just done a trip around Wales and have transferred my tracks/log files from GPS to Mapsource. I've grouped each set of tracks for each day I travelled - Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4. My question is how can I save each day as a new route for future return rides? Is it possible please? If so how?

Regards
Paul.

One way is to pass the tracks through a program that is called WINGDB3

See this info page: http://www.sackman.info/

and click on the link just towards the top... Great little program enabling the sort of thing you are trying to be achieved... Plus much more... :thumb

Thanks srace7 I'll play with that. Looks just the job! Cheers

I spoke to Garmin and they said the only way was to draw a new route over the top of the tracks I logged to create a new route.

They would... Because that's what you have to do using their kit and software...

The WINGDB3 program works a treat... Yell if you have any issues...

How can I move a route once I've drawn it with Route Tool? Although WINGDB3 is very handy it also converts mistakes (roads where I did a uturn for example). So I have been using the Mapsouce Route Tool to draw the route I want from the tracks imported from my GPS. However I want to edit the route cause I made a mistake there also. Cant see a way of moving a route once drawn?

Here's where I want to delete the apex in red and route where the green line goes to shorten the journey?

If its a route, you can click on the route line and it will turn yellow, now click and release on the segment you want to change and you will get a point with two black lines to the extremeties of the route, move the point to where you want to move the route and click.
