Hi all,

Coming from years on the back of R1s, I’m new to the BMW family after picking up my GSA LC two weekends ago from SBW Motorrad in Welwyn Garden City.

I have to give a special mention to Ian for an amazing deal and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Everyone I dealt with at SBW made this purchase a great experience from Ian explaining the GSA in details, Sian doing all the paperwork and Simon from parts.

My GSA is (was) Alpine White in colour but when I saw the 2016 GSA in mat red on display, I ordered all the panels for a colour change.
Simon from parts phoned me on Monday to say that all the parts have arrived and then delivered them in person to my home address that same evening.
And what a top bloke he is. He gave me a few more tips and advice and we just had a good chat about bikes and GS events.

It’s quite a different style coming from racing bikes all my life but I’m enjoying my GSA and so happy with the change to adventure bikes.
Looking forward to (hopefully) a long summer :thumby:

Regards,
Johan

Johan, you might find someone who wants to go from Red to White on the forum....

Enjoy the wheels.
Good to hear positive vibes re SBW for a change.
Everyone at SBW seems noticeably happier and better to deal with since it was sold to Linds Norwich recently.

Says a lot about how people felt under the previous owner and understand even a few members of staff have come back since the sale.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
The mat red is a stunning colour and I just knew that's the colour I want when I saw the demo.
Thank you for the tip stuartw, I will definitely put them up for sale on UKGSer.

It's a bloody expensive game this adventure biking, LOL.
Looking at some goodies from Touratech so I'll get my birthday list ready for the missus.

Stujw70, I've read a few negative comments on the web after I bought my GSA and could honestly not understand why?
This is my first BMW so I'm not familiar with the dealership history but I cannot fault them anywhere.

I got a follow-up call from Ian to see how I was getting on with the GSA and said I'm always welcome to pop in for a chat and coffee.
And as I've mentioned above, Simon dropping off the parts in person and just having a good chat regarding the GS, speaks volumes of their great customer service.

I second that. Bought my GSA from Ian and Simon last October.

They have a open day tomorrow, so have the GSA & GS booked for a ride. Will be interesting to see how it compares to my 1150GSA and my old 12GSA

Would you like me to tell you?:D

OP, great looking bike. Doesn't look quite right with grey seats though, sorry! Maybe black seats will finish the look?

The guys there certainly seem to be happier since the takeover. No complaints from me.

Hi Gazbo, it came to £444 :censor:
The plastics weren't that expensive or at least it's less than I expected but when I saw the price I paid for the 2 stickers, well :blast
In the end, the £444 is now long forgotten and I'm just so pleased with the bike and the colour. It's way less than buying a 2016 model ;)

Nutty, I'm already looking at different seats but this is turning into a bloody expensive hobby, LOL.
But to me its not too bad so I'll cope with it until my tree grows more cash.
Touratech is going to take a lot of my money, I need to get new boots... :help

Stick your white panels in the for sale section for £250, that'll pay for your seat.:thumb
