Scala G4 FM Radio - Poor reception with HID lights

I got my new G4 yesterday and am really impressed with it. Unfortunately I found the FM radio reception extremely poor. The speaker wire definitely goes over the top of my head, so I know that it's not that.

This morning I realised what it is but can't think how to fix it. When my bike starts up it waits 10 seconds after the engine has started running before it turns on the headlight, which is a HID light. As soon as the headlight comes on the radio reception disappears. With the headlight off the reception is fine.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Just use your Ipod, music that you WANT to hear not the drivel on the radio AND much clearer, that's what I do!
