I am after a little help if I could, I have a G9 with in helmet speakers, I am looking to replace these with a jack so I can connect some in ear headphones. Does anyone know the connections in these so I can cut them off?

Also, the sound quality with my Zumo 550 is frankly rubbish, is this everyones experience?

Ultimate Ears did mine (I use their in ear monitors).

The Zumo 550 audio is only dual mono on bluetooth - you have to use the stereo jack for decent quality and the volume is much less than on a 660.

Just need to know how to wire them up. Don't really want to spend the money for a new holder if I can just stick a jack on it.

I have just had an in ear moniter made up for one ear, stone deaf in my right so speakers are no good.

Done by ultimate ear. 3.5 jack plug that plugs into my G4. The sound quality is just amazing, either with rider to pillion or with my Walkman listening to music.

There is a 2.5 jack plug socket already built into the scala's. You might be able to get an adapter to fit in it.

Cheers Dave.

I got the speakers cut off my Scala G4, and a stereo jack fitted in place, secured to the base of the boom.

BUT- on the G4, the aerial for the radio also runs through one of the cables, so I lost the radio facility (no great loss - never used it).

If the G9 is similar to G4, then the stereo socket in the unit - is an input for MP3 etc
