Scala rider solo

My riding partner has a S/R solo.

Simple (and possibly stupid) question.

If I were also to get get a S/R solo, can we communicate bike to bike via bluetooth or would we both need to get say a Q2?

My understanding is you would both be able to communicate as long as you both had the rider headsets, pillion one is slightly different

I have a first edition solo Scala and was told by Cardo it wouldn't pair with another solo, but picked up a teamset cheap to get round that.

I still use the solo as it is paired with my phone and GPS.
