Has anybody had problems with the visor breaking on the hinge retension arrangement,it seems to be a tiny little bit of plastic that comes adrift which is quite important as the visor comes out of the pivot ,happend twice to visors approx 12 months old.

never had that problem - but had 2 replaced (visors) no questions asked when the anti fog peeled.......just ask for a replacement. . . :)

Yes, I had that too after a year's virtual daily usage.
To be honest I cannot be sure that I did not bang the helmet in that area, and I do replace my visor every year, so did not think too much of it ....

I accidently hit the side of my S1 and broke a bit of plastic on the retaining mechanism, causing the spring to fall out. This resulted in the visor unclipping itself on one side each time it was opened more that a couple of inches... which is very annoying if you wear specs
I contacted the Schuberth importers (in the warranty book, somewhere) and they immediately sent out, FOC, a new set of retainers... these are the black things which screw into the side of the helmet with 2 screws.
Excellent service for an excellent helmet :thumb2

Also happened to me while abroad which was very very annoying. Visor jumped out every time you opened it. Went through loads of tape but still happened. Must be common as 'Infinity' central London had spare bits in stock.

Happened to me a few months ago. THe visor was 3 years old, so cant complain.
