Last week I recieved my new Schuberth C2 with Bluesonic and I have been trying to connect it to Zumo 550 for phone calls.
My phone Nokia 5300 MusicExpress works perfectly with Zumo - automaticaly synchronizes the phone book and I can see the phone status, etc.
The Bluesonic also connects to Zumo without problems, I can hear the GPS
prompts, I can hear MP3 (mono), also I can hear the phone when somebody calls me BUT they cannot hear me.
It seems to me that we have the same issue as the Nolan bluetooth system - I am connected with the 'headset' profile instead of the 'handsfree' profile.

The Schuberth bluesonic system is operated with an infrared remote, with a single Start/Stop button, so so I cannot use the same trick as Nolan to switch profiles.(if I hold down the start/stop button, Bluesonic simply switches off)

Also, I cannot use Bluesonic motostation as solution yet, as it is not available (expected May'2007).

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

I'm afraid the Schuberth Bluesonic system hasnt been released yet in the UK, so I dont know if anyone will be able to help much.

Have you tried Schuberth and Garmin themselves?

Good luck,

Mike

I'm using Zumo550, Motorola C 390 with Scala Rider B/T Head Set. Got the same problem when using Phone, can hear the phone ring but after answer it always cut off.

I had a response from Schuberth technical support: The solution is to upgrade to Version 1.38 of the Bluesonic software (mine is 1.37).
But I was warned if I upgrade to 1.38, I will loose the bluetooth connection to the second bluesonic helmet, and if I want both connection to Zumo and a second helmet, I wil have to wait until next month when a new version 1.39 will be released.
Unfortunately, to upgrade the software I have to sent the helmet to a bluesonic dealer, so I will wait until next month.

Also, I was told that if I want a stereo connection to Zumo, I will need to wire it to the Bluesonic motostation, which is not available yet. So I will have to wait for that too.

In the meantime my solution is to use my old Schuberth 'S1' helmet with Sony-Ericsson HBH-300 bluetooth headphones. The system works well both for phone and music, (excellent MP3 music quality achieved by attaching A2DP Logitech bluetooth transmitter to the Zumo bike docking station)
BUT battery life which is only 4 hours ...

So the best solution is the Bluesonic motostation, hope they release it soon .

Toroil,

The problem with your system could be the handsfree/car kit profile setting on your phone.

Make sure it is not set on 'Autoanswer' , as the Handsfree already answers automatically.

This is the case with the Bluesonic system.

Many, many thanks for your hard work in being part of Schuberth's development program!

Thanks for your advice, I'll check it. :thumb

Le Loup Virtuel,
I checked my phone status yesterday, the "Auto Answer" is "off". Still no luck, tried to make a call, the phones bluesonic signal always cut off. :blast
