Schuberth C2 flip front broke

My Schuberth C2 decided not to open today, its not easy getting your head out when it won't open. I have taken the covers off that enclose the locking mechanism inside the helmet and discovered that the plastic housing for the bowden cable which pulls to unlock the right side of the flip front is broke. The helmet is out of the 3 year guarantee and I know its probably time to buy a new one, but I would really like to get it repaired. The manual that came with the helmet supplies a German address for service and repair and I wondered if anyone has had one repaired in the UK?

I've never had one repaired. I think Oxford Products are the importers who may be able to help.

I have a C2 which I have just taken out of service and which I was going to keep as a spare but, if you would like it for parts, let me know.

Here's some pictures I took of the broken part. The first one shows the left inside of the flip front when the covering panel has been removed, all of the red is one part, the black parts in front of it are the catch and lock for the left side of the flip front, the bowden cable at the top of the picture passes round the front of the flip front to operate the catch and lock on the right side. The red part which is actually the same part which is pressed to release and open the flip front has a housing for the nipple of the bowden cable and it is part of this which has broken away, (shown in the second picture) so the cable is no longer being pulled to release the right side.

Have contacted James Sherlocks today, where I bought the helmet and they are going to find out if parts or repair are available (from Oxford Products I guess) and ring back tomorrow.

Paul, your "out of service" C2 may be my best repair option, please could you let me know how much you want for it.
