My C2 was finally swapped for a new silver C3 about two months ago as was beginning to leak badly. Purchased from my local dealer in Bristol, I was really pleased with the fit and lightweight nature of the C3. I always found looking around difficult in the old C2 as the chin piece caught on the shoulders of my jacket which was annoying, but due to the higher cut of the C3, I can now turn my head about with ease.
However, I have been really disappointed with the noise quality of the C3. The claims that it is one of the quietest on the market, in my experience, is just not true. It is certainly MUCH noisier than my old C2, even clipped right down. I have tried adjusting the screen on my 1200GS, but that hasn't made any difference. I am sure that the fit is right as we tried a number of different sizes before I got what I think is the best fit. It's much tighter than my C2, but that one was quite worn out.
My dealer has subsequently told me that he's had a few back and one of his customers has had ear drum trouble after wearing the C3. Another customer has apparently got Schuberth to alter the visor gasket!
Has anyone else had noise trouble with the C3 and should I complain to Schuberth? I was hoping that their claims might be right, but not in my case.
Many thanks.
Chris
