May be about to upgrade from my old Scala Q2, I like schuberth lids and have always had to use the glue plate mount to fix comms to lid.

What Im interested in finding out is some recommendations for bluetooth comms units and ease of use with schuberth lids.

With the old scala units which served me well I must add, you needed a further expense in buying a longer boom mike to use it with schuberth lid. So any information on what comes in the box would be great too.

Thanks:thumb

Sena 10U Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication System with Handlebar Remote for Schuberth C3/C3 Pro

About £220

I have just fitted a Sena 20s to mine. It cost £189 on Amazon.

You get 3 microphone options: a boom that attaches to the BT unit; a wired mike; and (the one I used) a boom mike with a length of wire at the end. The boom attaches to the main helmet shell, inside the lining. You then thread the wires through to the BT unit. Makes for a very clean installation.

Helmet speakers are good quality and fit into the helmet cutouts.

I could not get the clamp to fit cleanly on the helmet though, so used the optional fitting plate supplied with the kit, that stickes to the outside of the helmet. Seems to be a firm 'stick'

I've had an Interphone F5 on a Schuberth C3 pro for 3 years of all-year use. Its good and fits well. Could be worth waiting for the new Interphone range which is due in the shops soon. Do a search on here for Interphone Bluetooth Headsets and it should turn up - "Nutty" was lusting after it a week or two ago.
