Mrs T bought it..something to do with hair. Anyway as luck has it we are the same helmet size, so I thought I'd give it a road test. Other than the obvious flippy up thing and the great integral visor I was surprised at how noisy the helmet was with the chin vent open. And you need to as it really does like to steam up in there.

I find my C3 Pro noisy, or at least no quieter than any other helmet I have used.

My biggest issue is that the ventilation is poor and certainly worse than you get on a Shoei Neotech

I am really pleased with my C3 Pro and rate at as among the quietest if not the quietest lid I've ever had, it seems to come out among the best in all the magazine tests too for it's fit and finish and noise levels, I don't notice any increase in wind noise regardless of the position of the chin vent but do notice a change when the vent on top is open although I'd say the change is marginal, I can adjust my bike's screen and in the lower position wind noise is increased but not to an uncomfortable level, I think a lot depends on the rider's height in relation to the screen and whether or not the rider is sat in turbulent air or not.

You mean all but this month's RiDE magazine flip-up lids test? ;) :augie

Enjoy e fact that the integrated SRC won't connect to your friends devices .
also the C3Pro gives you a decorative waterfall inside the visor when it's raining.

It's almost a great helmet , but fails.

Strangely my c3 pro is water tight, however it's not the case with the Neotec i have .

Did you press the visor shut with a click? - hard to do one handed but once done it is watertight although prone to steaming up if in slow traffic - needs the air flow through the chin vent.
If you just pull it shut with one hand it leaves a small gap for ventilation - it needs a positive click to seal.

I prefer the C3 to the newer Neotech, but the old Neotech to the C3.

Like I say Wiith the chin vent open?

I agree there is noise with the vent open, it is only the quietest helmet with everything closed and the chin curtain in place.
