Evening - I'm looking for a new lid at the moment - currently got an early Klim Krios and a Sena50S clamped to the outside of it.

One of the helmets I am looking at is the Schuberth C5 - and whilst I know it is pre-wired for their own comms system, I'd kind of like to keep using my existing Sena.

Can anyone advise on whether it's possible to use the C5 with the Sena50s please - if so, was it a straightforward fit....

many thanks

You should be fine sticking it to the outside of the helmet. And being a Sena i believe the connection to the ear pieces is the same. Where you will struggle is on mounting the microphone.

There isn't anywhere to stick a new one on the inside of the lid which would still be in place with the front being raised. Or if you stick it to the chin mount - you'll need lots of spare cable to facilitate the movement.

Sorry I can't help with the fitting aspect but as the SC2 is basically a Sena 50R then getting the SC2 might be an option if the 50S can't be made to fit (although I think the SC2 is cheaper if bought with the C5 rather than separately). The SC2 is quite nicely integrated into the C5 (I have both) although I wish they'd stuck with the mic from the C4 Pro rather than the boom mic.

aye - I'm just trying to avoid buying a repackaged Sena to fit a lid, when I've already got the 50s.... it's a few hundred quid that I'd rather not have to part with if possible....

That's fair enough. One thought though ref the mic issue that @DJ123 pointed out is that you could buy the C5/SC2 boom mic separately and patch it into your existing 50S? I think it's about £20-25.

Best deal i can find so far - which can be bettered further is with Helmet city. And if you use discount code HCLCR24 you get an extra 15% off.

Send that deal to Motolegends to get another 10% off. You should be able to pick up a Helmet & headset deal for around £560.
