Has anyone tried the C5 helmet with a comms other than the SC2 Senna comms which the helmet is set up for?
Am wary about spending another £360 on the SC2 when its
1. expensive
2. not transferable to any other helmet
3. according to a previous post rather tricky to use with the TFT screen.
One could connect another comm such a Interphone U16 and replace the pre installed speakers OR solder to the existing.
Anyone have any experience with this combination?

If you buy it with the helmet, you get 20% off/save the VAT.

I'm not sure what you mean about tricky to use with a TFT screen? Unless you're relating it to linking to the TFT dash on the Bike. I do not know if this offers any advantage, but i'd assume your phone is the source of the music and you can simply keep a direct connection between the phone & Headset.

It really depends on what you use it for - music, comms, navigation as to what you need to find works for you. I use mine for music and it's fine. - whilst it could be better, i'm no audiophile. Whilst the sound quality is not the highest with silicon ear plugs not much will change that experience.

I realise it's cheaper bought with the helmet but still a lot.
I would use it for music and communicating with a mate, so mesh is useful.
Does the volume control work with your wonder wheel?

It is a lot, i can't argue with that. But you can find deals. I got my helmet & comms for £620 all in, although that was nearly at the time the helmet was first released.

I've not got a TFT enabled Bike, nor the BMW Nav and so don't use the wonder wheel or any connected services.

FYI, currently Sportbikeshop have 3 C5's down to £400ish. So when paired with an intercom the total is £620 or so, depending on the colour of helmet you choose. (White, Matt Black or Concrete)

I’d avoid the Matt black or Concrete grey as they chip really easily apparently.
