Just bought a new J2 from infinity as a price drop due to damaged box...😆 1st impressions very good, high quality, more comfort padding than expected in a Schuberth after M1 and E1 experience... I've recently been a return Shoei customer and have a well used and abused J-Cruise1 that needed replacing...
As someone who used open faces for 2/3rds to 3/4s of the year the J2 will fit the bill well and I like the detachable chin bar...
I will leave a bit more real user experience as that's in short supply these days and bless em, the reviews like Moto Legends one are a bit too spec based and a little patronising re using open face helmets...
I've used a few for 25+ years and always fancied a J1 but they discontinued it...

Verdict so far= not as cushy padding as Shoei but still good, high quality well designed, like the chin bar and small curtain for shitier weather, bit rounder than shoei but still a decent fit where it matters, seems quiet for an open face...👍 The Shoei alone must have done 60 k miles so there will be plenty of use coming up ..😄

That got a great review by Quinn Redecker.

Looked at J2, couldn’t help to observe that the chin piece is rather flimsy in comparison to the original which was metal. In the end I went for an other System 7, especially now that the System 8 is out you can get some great discounts. Really it boiled down to price.

Schuberth are saying it very strong as tested... Update on return commute... Quiet at speed apart from the upper air scoop and that's not bad...clear sky's chilly on the way home and jeezus that scoops effective if you open it...😂 I usually take them off or block them at some point until needed...

Field of vision is huge with a high forehead and vertually 180 degrees at eye level... Almost weird... Very impressed overall and now I've just got to not drop it or scratch the visor...👍😂
There won't be info on "Comms" as I don't comm, I just ride the bike...😉

One quick comment is finding the same as my old C2, M2 and present E1 is they could do with upping their sun visor tint a bit... You forget about it the winter riding but 🌞🌞 is back... Shoei's are a bit darker...

You can improve things by running a strip of black insulating tape across the inside tope edge of the sun visor, to act as a blackout.
