I have just ordered an autocom pro duo kit 300 and am wondering if anyone has instructions on how to fit to a Schuberth S1 Pro.

I have tried ringing Autocom but they didn't have any info regarding fitment to this helmet.

Thanks
Dae

You could try taking the helmet back to where you bought it from if you're not confident, they will probably do it for a small(ish) fee.

Other than that, the manual shows you how to remove the cheek pads for cleaning, and it's fairly straight forward to do this and then mount the Autocom kit.

You might have to remove a thin layer of the polystyrene foam to get the speakers to sit comfortably against your ears if, like me, you're well endowed :D:augie

As SPL says......don't be frightened to pull the cheek-pads out, pull them from the front and they can easily be removed. Carefully unstick the liner edging to allow the speakers to be put inside the ear spaces, stick these in place with velcro or tape, this may take a few attempts to get them closely positioned to your ears and is fiddly. Persevere...:thumb2

Thanks for the info.

I did take a (quick) look at the helmet, but the pads did appear to be quite firmly fixed in place.

I'll have to have a look round the house and see if I can find the manual if it has pictures in it.

Asked the guys in Hein Gericke today (I work next door and that's a recipe for never having money :augie ) but they didn't know how to remove the pads.

I finally found the manual for the lid last night.

Unfortunately there are no pictures showing removal of the cheek pads. There is also a note that replacement cheek pads are available but should only be fit by Schuberth authorised dealer.

I'm hoping that the warning is just that, and you guys are correct in that they are easy to remove. Not gonna dismantle my lid though till the autocom arrives.

I've had mine apart about 1/2 dozen times messing with the autocom until I was 100% happy with the fit.

There's a knack to it 1st time (pull from front edge where they meet the chin vent piece), but once you've done it once it's easy - you will be fine :D

They are a bit of a pain to sort as there's a fixing that stops them from being taken off completely, so a bit of patience is needed :augie

Thanks. Hopefully the autocom will have been delivered tonight so I'll have a go with it. Fingers crossed my fat fingers won't cause too much damage.

You can unclip the straps from the "studs"at the back and then completely unthread the cheek pads. Makes things a bit easier.

I managed to strip my down completely at the weekend to replace the visor support mechanism on the LHS which had broken and manage to get it all back together :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Did mine on my S1 tonight, first time I've ever fitted one.

Bit of a fiddle arse but got it installed in the end.

Very impressed, oh is it safe to use Duck Tape on the inner shell of a helmet, used it to hold the main cable in place??

Thanks for the tips guys - I got the headset fitted tonight with not too much trouble.

Appreciate the help.

CHeers for the tip - never noticed you could do that :blast

Have a look here.

I have an S1 and its a bit fiddly to do and stripping your helmet is quite unnerving but well worth doing to fit the autocom correctly. Just take your time and you will be fine.

Anyone know where I can buy the removable chin thingy for S1 Pro?

mmmmmmmmmm I do not know why we would said this as we have fitted loads of the S1's the Pro's are not any different to fitting side. They are the same style of fitting to an Arai so if you follow the Arai fitting guide within our instructions they would give you the basics.
