I have heard of them but where from Johny boy, and do you fit the pinlock to your original visor, or do you replace the lot

Replace the whole lot.

Try a google search for one of the German suppliers or a German dealer (via Schuberth website).

Pinlock visor

I;ve looked on the Schuberth web site, and tried doing a search on google but I cannot find a German supplier that seams to supply visors that have allready been converted. plenty that do kits.

I emailed Schuberth in Germany and a nice lady called Bettina emailed back with a helpful dealer contact.
I bought it in Germany, but no harm in asking about mail order to UK
Their English was excellent.
Failing that, email Pinlock (they're a Dutch company) and ask for a Dutch Schuberth dealer to email for the same

You actually can get them in the UK - allegedly. When the pinlock visor was recommended to me I phoned my local-to-work dealer (Infinity) who got in touch with the importer.

Supposedly you can get them within two weeks - downside is that they're 90 quid .

So I bought one on fleabay from Germany and hope that it'll turn up eventually.

Have you got popup blockers enabled?

I just clicked "In den warenkorb" and it is pretty easy from there and I don't speak any German!

They do reply promtly to emails in english. Have a browse around the site as well the €10.95 shipping charge is for any order size. I have just them several times this year and found them excellant.

Well, I disabled the pop-up blockers & got the pinlock into the shopping basket, but gave up trying to fit a UK address into boxes designed for a German one.
I've e-mailed them instead & if necessary will ring them later on this week if that doesn't work!

I'm in need of a new visor, so I thought I might try the pinlock one... any comments?

I wore my S1 in the rain today for the first time, I've had it just one week.

The anti-fog is not brilliant and I found it misting up after a while. When you crack it open a little the rain runs in.

I've also just noticed that there appears to be some slight peeling inside the visor where the lower piece meets the rubber seal, by the mouth air vent/opener.

I phoned the dealer and he said he will swap the visor for a new one, bad batch apparently

Anyway, it got me thinking about a pinlock visor. Are they any good and how does it work?
